Marlene S. Kaplan has over thirty-five years experience in professional accounting environments including both regional and local firms.  Her proficiencies include dealing with issues affecting owners of closely held businesses as well a representing taxpayers in negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.  She received an MBA from Bentley College with a concentration in taxation, and is an honors graduate of University of Massachusetts at Amherst. 


Marlene S. Kaplan CPA, P.C. maintains membership in many professional associations and groups in order to offer clients the benefits of continuing education, changing regulations, peer review and quality assurance.  

   *American Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Private Companies Practice Section
             As a member, every three years we undergo a rigorous, independent exam of our accounting and auditing practice.  Each time we have successfully completed the peer review and received an "unqualified" report.  Our most recent review was September 2017.
